The Faculty Assembly is the highest body of the Faculty. It is chaired by the Dean and meets at least three times per semester.

The Faculty Assembly is made up of all members of Group I, elected representatives of Groups II to V and - in a counseling capacity - the Managing Director of the Faculty and the Recording Secretary.

The Faculty Assembly

• exempts regulations and rules (especially in the areas of teaching and organization),
• it elects the deans and members of committees,
• it appoints committees (in particular search committees) and approves appointment reports,
• it adopts the Faculty's development and structural plan,
• and it awards prizes and honors.

The exact tasks of the Faculty Assembly are regulated in the Faculty regulations § 13.
