The honorary doctorate of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences honors the textile artist Noémi Speiser, who died in September 2025, for her fundamental research on European and Japanese textile techniques. Her precise analyses and classifications have significantly shaped our understanding of textile culture and combine scientific accuracy with artistic sensitivity and an intercultural perspective.
The Humanities Prize of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, sponsored by the L. & Th. La Roche Foundation, was awarded to Dr. Catrina Langenegger.
The Young Talent Award of the student association "Schwizerhüsli", sponsored by the Ferdinand Neeracher-Pfrunder Foundation, is awarded to MA Michèle Valérie Ernste from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
