Voluntary use

The use of the "Phil" app is completely voluntary, unless otherwise explicitly specified and officially communicated by those responsible at the faculty, department or subject area level for individual functions. It is not intended to replace our official communication channels (website, email, online services, face-to-face meetings, etc.), but to complement them in a meaningful way.

Data storage

Your data is stored as follows

Local storage on your mobile device:

• E-mail address
• First name
• Last name
• Your password
• Student number
• Start date
• Selected study programs
• Self-entered dates
• Quick link entries
• Watchlist entries
• Personal notifications

You can avoid the local storage of your e-mail address and password by logging out manually after each use of the app.

It is important to note that the above-mentioned local data will be lost as soon as you delete your app data or uninstall the "Phil" app. You can also delete your online account including the locally stored data at any time using the "Delete my account" function in the left side panel of the app.

Online storage on Infomaniak's Swiss cloud servers:

• E-mail address
• First name
• Last name
• Password (not visible to anyone)
• Telephone number
• Matriculation number
• Start of studies
• Selected study programs
• Dates of your appointments and registrations (incl. registration documents)
• Your in-app messages to the student administration and office hours partners
• Your timestamps for check-in/out in rooms and events via QR code scan
• Your votes

We only store this data online to ensure that the app functions properly. Your personal data is all protected by password and access control lists. Data that is no longer required is deleted by the system at set intervals.

The GDPR-compliant Infomaniak servers on which your data is stored are located exclusively in Switzerland.

Online storage on Matomo Analytics (web-analytics.ch):

• Neutralized (not assignable to you) analytics data of your app usage

Online storage on mailjet.com:

• Email notifications sent to you and triggered by you (e.g. for appointment registrations)

Online storage on wonderpush.com:

• Push notifications sent to you

Storage in our support mail account:

• Your feedback inputs

Storage on our internal deanery file server:

• Your registration documents
